Mesrs Darby Leigh and addressed me a letter informing them that they were proceeding with the works, to which I replied informing them that the plans were under consideration and that the works being exceptional structures required special approval (copies of letter attached).
8. Copies of correspondence respecting the storage and transport of Petroleum in the City of London, Strait Settlements, Fort St George, Ceylon, and Singapore, as well as a copy of the correspondence respecting the passage of Petroleum through the Suez Canal presented to both Houses of Parliament by command of Her Majesty June 1892 were obtained.
9. These papers were referred to the Honourable the Acting Attorney General, the Harbour Master, the Government Analyst, and myself who after consultation submitted in October draft conditions to attach to the license (Corr. 103) and draft regulations for the transport of petroleum, copies of which were sent to Messrs. Arnhold Karberg & Co in the same month.
10. The plans for the construction of the necessary tanks and other works on Kowloon Marine Lot 32 were after amendment formally approved on the 12th December 1892.
